The principle of the nitrogen cylinder is no different from that of the oil cylinder. The oil cylinder uses hydraulic oil as the medium; the nitrogen cylinder uses nitrogen as the medium.
Nitrogen cylinders need to be filled with nitrogen. Nitrogen is an inert gas, inactive, and will not react with other gases.
Nitrogen has a wide range of sources, is cheap, and saves fuel.
The nitrogen cylinder of the excavator telescopic arm is a device that works according to the principle of gas pressure and is used for auxiliary adjustment or support of the excavator telescopic arm.
The nitrogen cylinder is mainly composed of a nitrogen cylinder body, an oil cylinder body (in some designs, it may not be directly part of the nitrogen cylinder, but the two may work together), a sealing gasket, a piston, and a piston rod. In the excavator telescopic arm, the working principle of the nitrogen cylinder is to use the compressibility of nitrogen to store and release energy through the movement of the piston. When the excavator is excavating, the main pump sends hydraulic oil into the oil cylinder to push the piston and piston rod outward. At this time, the piston compresses part of the nitrogen in the nitrogen cylinder, causing its air pressure to increase rapidly. When the hydraulic oil stops entering the cylinder, the piston will retract quickly because the air pressure on the piston is greater than the external air pressure, and the hydraulic oil will be discharged during the retraction process. At the same time, the nitrogen in the nitrogen cylinder will also release energy to assist the retraction of the piston rod.
Installing a nitrogen cylinder will always give the boom an upward lifting force, increase the lifting force of the boom cylinder, and at the same time reduce the load on the engine to save fuel.
Nitrogen cylinders need to be refilled with nitrogen regularly, which increases the cost of nitrogen use. Gas should be refilled about once a year, and the pressure should reach 12Mpa each time the nitrogen is refilled, but not more than that. When the pressure is lower than 9Mpa, refilling is required.
Generally, a nitrogen cylinder needs to be filled with 240L of nitrogen, which is 6 bottles of nitrogen. Nitrogen needs to be filled on site, and the filling pressure is about 12 atmospheres.
To install the nitrogen cylinder, you need to modify the hose of the original boom cylinder of the customer. You need to collect the iron pipe of the original boom cylinder of the customer inward to reserve a place for the installation of the nitrogen cylinder.
The pipe needs to be re-pressed. The cost of this pipe pressing needs to be paid by the customer. The customer installs it by himself. We can provide installation videos.
We customize excavator arms and attachments according to the customer's excavator model.
